Every digital marketing campaign needs excellent visuals. Great graphics can really kick your website, landing pages, and social media posts up a notch. You can join Canva for free and make use of their amazing templates for blog posts, banners, social media backgrounds, infographics, logos, and more. Canva allows you to sign up quickly using your Google or Facebook account and download your designs to your device for free. For advanced designs, there are some paid options, but we’ve found the free version to be more than adequate for most day-to-day graphics tasks.
Few things leave a worse impression of your business than bad spelling and grammar. Grammarly is the skilled proofreader every content writer needs to make sure their content is in ‘tip-top’ condition before it is published online. It has free and premium membership levels, but we’ve found the free version to be perfectly adequate for most projects. You can even install a free extension for your Chrome browser if you want to check every piece of content that you create online. If you don’t consider yourself a polished copywriter, Grammarly will even help with style and tone suggestions.
As a small business owner, you’re probably juggling a multitude of tasks – not just for yourself but for your team too. Trello can really help with that. It allows you to create a mixture of boards, lists, and cards to organise and break your projects down into actionable tasks. These can all be shared with, or allocated to colleagues, making Trello a great way of managing remote teams.
Email marketing is an important part of any digital marketing strategy. A well-planned campaign can offer high conversion rates and is a great way of keeping your audience engaged with your business.
Mailchimp allows you to send trackable email campaigns to up to 2,000 subscribers for free! Not only that, but they’ve added plenty of other features to their free service over the years, including website building and publishing, landing pages, Facebook and Instagram ads, pop-ups and much more.
If you have a relatively small audience and don’t yet have the budget to push the boat all the way out, Mailchimp is a great place to start building your digital marketing arsenal.
